A warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet, generously stuffed with graham crackers, marshmallows, and Hershey’s chocolate.

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 squares graham crackers broken into bite-size pieces
  • 8-10 marshmallows
  • 2 Hershey Chocolate Bars broken into pieces
  • 1-2 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chunks (optional)
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly butter a 10-12 inch oven-safe skillet.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the room temperature butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated after each addition.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and beat until the mixture is creamy.
  6. Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and kosher salt to the wet ingredients.
  7. Stir the ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix the dough.
  8. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  9. Spread approximately 1/3 of the prepared cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the buttered skillet.
  10. Arrange the bite-size graham cracker pieces over the layer of cookie dough in the skillet.
  11. Place the marshmallows over the graham crackers.
  12. Distribute the broken Hershey's chocolate bar pieces over the marshmallows.
  13. Gently spread the remaining cookie dough over the marshmallows and chocolate layer. It is okay if some marshmallows are still visible.
  14. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  15. Bake for 20-22 minutes for a very doughy center, or 22-25 minutes for a more set cookie.
  16. Remove the skillet from the oven.
  17. Allow the skillet cookie to cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.
  18. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, if desired, before serving.
  19. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

Ensure butter and eggs are at room temperature for the best dough consistency.
Do not overmix the dough after adding flour to keep the cookie tender.
Baking for 20-22 minutes results in a very gooey center; adjust to your preference.
A sprinkle of flaky sea salt enhances the flavors beautifully.
