  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cups light brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine grain salt
  • ½ cup crushed Oreos
  • ½ cup M&Ms
  • ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup sprinkles optional

Instructions

  1. Add butter to a saucepan over low to medium heat.
  2. Brown the butter, stirring constantly, until it turns golden and nutty.
  3. Remove the browned butter from heat.
  4. Let the browned butter cool slightly.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the slightly cooled brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  6. Mix the sugars and butter for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the large egg, 2 large egg yolks, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  8. Mix until all ingredients are just combined.
  9. Fold in the all-purpose flour, optional cornstarch, baking powder, and fine grain salt until just combined.
  10. Fold in the crushed Oreos, M&Ms, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and optional sprinkles.
  11. Cover the cookie dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  12. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  13. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  14. Scoop the chilled dough into 24 even balls.
  15. Place the dough balls onto the lined baking sheet.
  16. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
  17. Remove cookies from the oven when the edges are set and centers are soft.
  18. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
